The Street Fair is a community celebration. Consequently, displays, merchandise or any other promotion of any of the following is strictly prohibited: alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, violence or profanity. No mess-making merchandise, like canned string, or violent merchandise, gun-type toys, may be sold. The event is not a flea market; no yardsale goods may be sold. The RLABA reserves the right to deny any party the ability to participate in the Street Fair.
The event will be held rain or shine. Setup may begin at 6:30 a.m. and the central roadway must be clear by 8:30 a.m. Vendors who need to drive vehicles in for breakdown may only do so after 4:00 p.m. unless weather necessitates an earlier breakdown. All parties must be cleared completely from the area by 5:00 p.m. for street cleaning.
Each assigned space measures 20’ wide by 10’ deep. Participants must fit within this space or register for additional spaces. Awnings, overhangs or other protusions must allow immediate clearance for emergency vehicles to pass. Participants must stay within the limits of their assigned spaces and may not in any way impede or interfere with the flow of foot traffic or other participants. Participants are specifically prohibited from accosting passers-by in any way including physically or verbally. Participants may not utilize or occupy unassigned spaces or open ground within the Street Fair area without approval by the RLABA.
The Street Fair continues to grow and evolve, so changes are often necessary. Participants should not assume assignment to the same space year after year. All spaces are first come first serve. The RLABA reserves the right to assign participants to any area and any space as the RLABA sees fit for the overall benefit of the event.
Absolutely all materials brought in by participants for the Street Fair must be removed. This includes, but is not limited, to any boxes and trash. Both street and sidewalk space must be cleared. Failure to do so will result in being barred from participation the following year.
No spaces may be transferred, assigned, shared or exchanged without prior notice and approval of the RLABA.
By signing this form, the applicant acknowledges that no insurance coverage is being provided by the RLABA for their benefit during participation. By signing this agreement, participants agree that the RLABA and its authorized agent(s) shall not be liable for any loss, theft, damage or disappearance of any property or for any injury to any person assigned space for this event, their agents or employees, including reasonable attorney’s fees for defense thereof, from any cause or whatever reason, prior to, during or after the event. Participants also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the RLABA and its authorized agent(s) from any claims related thereto.
By agreeing to these terms, participants also agree to comply with all applicable laws and follow directions of public and/or event officials especially those involved with this event.
